Lindsey and Family,Our sincere condolences for the passing of your father. Although he will be missed, our time here is brief and we will soon be united. Roger is a righteous son and has completed his mission and those things required while in a probationary state. May you as a family feel the comfort of the Holy Ghost at this time. Love, Brian and Connie

Dear Peggy and family,I was so sorry to hear about Roger's passing. Another great man gone way too soon. I don't know how things work for sure in the spirit world, but I have to believe that Randy and Roger are now missionary companions. Even though we have the plan of salvation and the Savior's love to comfort us, it is going to be very hard for a long time. I will be praying for you as you start this new phase of life. May Heavenly Father bless all of you at this time. Your strong eternal family ties will be a great blessing at this time.Love,Jo (Banister) Fittro

We remember Roger's great love and devotion to God and to his country. He spoke often about his love for our country and how much it meant to him. He also spoke often of his conversion to the gospel and the meaning it had in his life. He was a wonderful family man and enjoyed his family to the fullest. Our son, Mike, said it's ironic that he is hearing about Roger's passing while he is attending scout camp with his son because that's where most of his memories of Roger come from--scout camp. Roger devoted many years to helping young boys with scouting. We appreciate Roger's good example and have a great love for the Koon family.
