Richard Albert Paskett, aged 79, passed away on January 7, 2022 from bile duct cancer. He was born on January 4, 1943 in Ely, Nevada. Richard and his family moved to Grantsville, UT in 1956.
Richard was the living definition of enduring to the end. He suffered from mental disabilities, diabetes, kidney disease and cancer. Despite these challenges, Richard endured them all with strength, dignity and grace.
Although he had a hard time expressing himself verbally, he was a master teacher of love and acceptance to his family and all those who came in contact with him. He taught us all about kindness, gentleness, and love. He taught us to enjoy the little things in life. He specifically taught us that the little things are the big things.
Richard loved to go on walks around Grantsville. One of his favorite missions on his walks was to find loose change. He didn’t have selfish intentions with the money he would find. He would use the newfound change to buy penny candies that he would graciously share with his nieces and nephews. Each one of his nieces and nephews knew just how much he loved them. And they loved him.
Before the onset of Richard's mental difficulties, he was a brilliant student and was at the top of his class in reading. He has been an avid reader all of his life. He especially loved books about the Old West.
Richard is survived by his brother, Darrell Paskett and sister Janet Tayon and many family members who will miss him deeply. We know Richard is having a joyous reunion with his parents, Albert Sutton Paskett and Abbie Kelsey Paskett.
If you would like to honor Richard, find a good book, curl up in a comfy chair and read, read, read!
I lived next to the Pasket\'s when I was 8 years old. I remember playing red rover with all the kids in the neighborhood at Janet\'s house. Richard was always nice but very shy. Over the years, when I saw him walking I would say \"Hi\". And always replied \"Hi\" in return. Sometimes he would say a little more. He was a good guy. I\'m very sorry for your loss and I know Richard is at peace now.

Richard was always gentle and kept to himself. His sister Janet is an angel for the way she protected and cared for her older brother when his parents were gone. Richard was raised in a home filled with love. His parents Albert and Abbie Paskett were so kind to everyone. There is a place in Heaven for this good man. Rest In Peace Richard.
