Life & Legacy
Michael Angelo Baca, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 13, 2026, at the age of 70.

Born on December 19, 1955, Michael lived a life filled with love, family, hard work, and memories that will be cherished by all who knew him. He had a lifelong passion for old Chevys and Toyota Land Cruisers, and he was very active in sports throughout high school and college. He loved hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors, always happiest when he was out in nature. He was a man who made an impact not only through the things he accomplished but through the lives he touched along the way.

Michael’s greatest pride was his family. He loved his children and grandchildren deeply and treasured the time he spent with them. His love, guidance, stories, laughter, and the lessons he shared will continue to live on through his family for generations to come.

Those who knew Michael will remember him for his unique personality, his strength, his sense of humor, and the way he cared for the people around him. He leaves behind a lifetime of memories and a legacy of love that will never be forgotten.

Michael is survived by his wife, Julie Ann Tong; his children, Miken (Gino) Garcia, Tiffany (Korte) Bennion, and Shawn Baca; his grandchildren; and his three sisters and one brother.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Consuelo Sanchez; his father, Arturo Margarito Baca; his sisters, Jerry Ann and Lucy Baca; his brother, Arthur Myro Baca; his granddaughter, Mikala Moody; and his in-laws, Lois and Louie Tong.

Though our hearts are heavy with his passing, we are grateful for the years we were blessed to have him in our lives. He passed surrounded by his wife and children, and his memory will remain forever in the hearts of those who loved him.

“Those we love don’t go away; they walk beside us every day.”

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2026, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Sparks in Provo, located at 4134 West Center Street, Provo, Utah 84601.

Rest peacefully, Dad. You were loved more than words can say, and you will be missed every single day.

I so very grateful I had Mike in my life for the short time I did! He IS a great man and raised the love of my eternity Tiffany his favorite daughter 😉(sorry Miken) I never asked Mike for Tiffany’s hand but he accepted me as his own nonetheless and always treated me like one of his Sons! Death is a hard hand to be dealt for those who love deeply like his amazing wife Juile, his daughters Miken and Tiffany and his son Shawn! Mike was a jokester and loved to make people laugh! When I picture him in my memory I see his great laugh! And big smile until we meet again Mike! Your wife and daughters will be taken care of by your sons Shawn, Korte and Gino! And Grandsons It will never be goodbye For I have left my heart with you So don’t you ever cry That love that’s deep within me Is with you for forever You’ll feel it from the heavens It will dry those tears and heal old scars It will never be goodbye!
