Roger Kent Bardsley May 2, 1953 — November 27, 2022 Tooele On November 27, 2022, Roger Kent Bardsley peacefully passed at home after a brave battle with pancreatic cancer. Surviving family members include his wife, Glenda, his 6 children: Kimberly (Aldo), Robert (Jennifer), Matthew (Aubrey), Brett (Ashley), Leslie, Heather (Matthew); his 20 grandchildren; and his 3 siblings: David (Leigh), Karen (Shaun), Craig (Julie). Predeceased family members include his parents: Kent and Erma; his mother-in-law Norma; and his brother Randy.
Roger was born in Salt Lake City on May 2, 1953, and enjoyed an idyllic childhood filled with sports, family trips, paper routes, and swimming pools with siblings. In his youth he developed great wit and a dry sense of humor that would only get cheesier as he got older!
Roger lived a life full of service, dedicating 10 years to the Air Force and Army National Guards and two separate 2-year missions for his church in the Philippines and California. He spent his entire life volunteering in a variety of leadership roles within his church and within the Boy Scouts organization. With a deep love for the Stevensville community, Roger served 11 years as the Town Judge and Court Clerk and was twice elected to the School Board.
Roger and Glenda fell in love on a blind date, and for the next 46 years their love and devotion grew as they built their family and life together. Roger loved Glenda more than anything, and he consistently demonstrated this by word and deed.
Spending most of his professional career overseeing church facilities in Western Montana, Roger’s favorite job was being dad to his 6 children. Despite his extremely busy schedule, he somehow found time to individually father each child by coaching sports teams, planning camping trips and river floats, cheering at all their performances, and holding individual chats on Sundays. Through his example his children learned how to serve God, live true, and work hard.
While Roger will be missed as an honorable husband, father, grandfather, and friend, we are grateful to have been enriched by his incredible life and for the knowledge that families are forever.
Services will be held on December 10, 2022, at noon at the 13th Ward Chapel in Tooele (1025 Southwest Dr). A visitation will be held from 11:00 to 11:45 prior to the services. The services will also be streamed at https://zoom.us/j/94957347615?pwd=R0djTWlGOURnc0Z5cTF0cUJZS2Z4dz09, Passcode: Tooele13. Interment will be at the Salt Lake City Cemetery.

Dear Glenda and family- Bob and I were blessed to watch the Memorial Service today thanks to Zoom.
We laughed, we cried, we remembered all of our own wonderful experiences living and raising our family
in the beautiful Bitterroot Valley along with you and Roger and other dear friends. Your children are wonderful
and remembered their Dad in such loving ways today-we couldn’t help but smile. Our hearts were touched by Greg’s
words and his wonderful Spirit as well…God Bless you and your family and Roger until we meet again…

Dearest Family, We so love Roger and Glenda. They are a light to everyone they meet. What a perfect example of Jesus Christ their light is to the world. I love you Glenda baby always and forever. You are a shining star to me. Much love to you all. The last time we spend a dinner together at your house in Mt. Rog said he had not laughed this hard in a long , long time. For that we are so very blessed. Love you all, Sallye and Bill oxxoxo
