Mona Louise Saddler

Mona Louise Saddler, beloved mother, grandmother, friend, and devoted caregiver,
passed away on July 23, 2026, in Tooele, Utah. She was born on March 30, 1953, in
Kansas City, Missouri, and lived a life marked by kindness, service, faith, and deep love for her family.

Mona was the loving mother of her sons, Randy, Jim, and Dave, and a proud
grandmother to Tyler (Katelyn); Braison (Madeline); and Matthew (Jayden). Her children and grandchildren defined her life, and she was fully dedicated to them. Her family was one of the great joys of her life, and she showed her love through her steady presence, her encouragement, and the countless ways she cared for those around her.

Mona is also remembered with love by her sisters, Beverly Kilburn (Aaron), Jane Ingram (Scott), and Judy Hand (Greg), and her lifelong best friend and honorary sister, Barbara Knutson (Rick). Mona and Barbara shared a bond so strong that it naturally extended to Barbara’s sons, Ron (Emily) and Matt Jones. Mona was proud to call them her bonus sons and loved them as much as her own sons. She had numerous nieces and nephews that she loved dearly. She was preceded in death by her loving husband,
Larry Steven Saddler; her parents, Ira and Norma Martin; her sisters Joann and Nola;
and her brothers Randy and Danny (Lori).

For more than 30 years, Mona served her community as an Emergency Medical
Technician. She was also an instructor in the field, helping train and prepare new EMTs
with the knowledge, patience, and dedication that defined her work. She was very proud that all of her sons followed her into the medical field as EMTs and volunteered with her in the ambulance service. Her service touched many lives, both in moments of urgent need and through the many people she helped teach and mentor.

Mona also spent more than 30 years in her career at Clean Harbors, where many of her coworkers became like family to her. She was known for her kindness, dependability, and generous heart, and she formed lasting connections with the people she worked alongside.

Mona loved God and carried her faith with quiet strength. She had a special love for
animals, especially horses and dogs, and found joy in the simple blessings of life. She
was a fantastic cook and shared that gift with her children, teaching them as much as
she could in the kitchen. She also enjoyed board games with friends and puzzles of all
kinds, bringing patience, humor, and warmth to the time she spent with others.

Mona will be remembered for her compassion, her dedication to helping others, and the deep love she had for her family. Her life was a gift to those who knew her, and her
memory will continue to live on in the many hearts she touched.

A viewing will be held at Didericksen Memorial at 10:00 AM on Friday, July 31, followed
by a brief graveside service at the Grantsville City Cemetery at 11:00 AM. A luncheon will follow at the LDS Stake Center, 115 E Cherry St, Grantsville.
