Arthur Ortiz
June 20, 1953 — December 16, 2023
Tooele

On December 16, 2023, Arthur Arturo Ortiz was welcomed back into God's arms at the age of 70. He was born to Eutimia & Delfino Ortiz on June 20, 1953. He was a loving son, father, brother, grandfather, uncle, and a great friend to everyone who was fortunate to meet him and spend time with him. He was quite the character, it was his way or the Highway. He lived his life to the fullest. He is survived by his five children: Felecia, Caesar, Nichole, Brandy, Monica; many grandchildren; siblings: Salomon, Connie, Lola, Loui (deceased) Sandra, Carol, and Marilyn (Skinny). He was the youngest of the eight children. He was raised on the west side of Salt Lake City Utah. He served in the United States Marine Corp. He worked his whole life and had made Tooele his home for the last 40 years. Arturo will be missed and in our hearts for eternity. Funeral services will be held at St. Marguerite Catholic Church in Tooele Utah on Friday, 12–22-2023 at 11 AM. Interment will follow at the Tooele City Cemetery. All friends and family are invited to the mass and to celebrate Arturo’s life.

Uncle Artie, my mother loved you so much. She would tell me stories of baby sitting you sometimes when you were little. You meant so much to my papa too. Now the three of you are together again, reminiscing with fondness and love. So many stories…so many memories. Thank you for always bringing me orange creamsicles when you would visit when I was little. Give my mama and papa a big hug for me. Rest in peace.

To the children of Auturo Diaz, i sadden with loss of your father. I was one of those fortunate to have met Arturo and spend time with him listening to his stories, especially him growing up on the west side SLC. I met some of his childhood friends and they too shared some of their stories about him . May he rest in peace and the Lord will see his soul for eternity. My condolences to you all.
