Steven C Weiss
My name is Steven C. Weiss. I was one of Lyle's last mission companions before he came home. We only served a short while together, but when he was a Van Elder, doing open houses through out the Penna Mission, we talked a few times. this is when I found out that he attended Granite High School class of '68, same as myself at Olympus, knew several other guys who attended at Granite, either in the class of '68 or class of '69. He said that he knew of them, but didn't hang out with any of them, he often talked at about Ute Archery on Highland Drive, as well as a wild hog hunting adventure in southern Utah, it sounded rather amazing, touch and go, as he was being charged by one, where he had taken a short and the arrow glanced off his snout, Lyle was able to get off another shot as the wild hog dropped dead at his feet. Lyle, was a great story teller. I enjoyed Lyle as a mission companion, one of the challenges for me was to get Lyle to receive his Pat. Blessing, which he did. We hung out a little bit after our missions and then I lost track of Lyle, I did find his phone number online, several years later, we chatted a bit. It seems to me, he said that he was living out in West Valley? I always meant to back in touch, but we lost track of one another again. It would be much more great to be able to chat once again with Lyle, but for me to just to share this brief note is all that I can do, when I just found out about his passing, sorry for your loss, it's been 14 years, a lot has happened since then, may the good Lord's blessings attend each of your lives.
