Our loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister passed away March 4th surrounded by her family in her new home. Pam was born August 13, 1954, in Inglewood California, the daughter of William Charles Dawson IV and Carol Jean McDonald.
She married Dale Merril Sheffer on December 19, 1975, in the Salt Lake City Temple. They have 6 children, Kyle (Karen) Sheffer, Laura (Kenneth) Chukwuba, Bethany (Kenneth) Wright, Jordan (Becky) Sheffer, Morgan (Catlin) Sheffer, and Clayton Sheffer. Pam has 20 grandchildren that she loved dearly.
Pam was a dedicated member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served in many callings. She worked in the Salt Lake City Temple and loved callings serving with the youth. She served as Primary President, Girls Camp Director, Scout leader, and primary teacher.
Pam’s most important responsibility was to be a mother, homemaker, and wife. She worked briefly for the Davis County Treasurer’s Office, as a Census worker, and as a substitute teacher.
Pam loved collecting dolls, crafting, traveling, and caring for animals. She leaves behind 2 horses, 2 cows, 2 pigs, 8 Chickens, 4 turkeys, a cat, and a dog. She also enjoyed gardening and flowers.
It was an honor and privilege to be near her. She was brilliant and beautiful. We will miss her huge smile and loving presence until we meet again.

All the times I remember of her were at all of our family reunion\'s. She always had a huge smile on her face and a big hug to give to me and I will always be thankful for that. All my love and prayers to the family.

Pam was my childhood friend. I think we met when we were 11 or 12. She was always so kind, always put everyone else before her, like the time there was no room on a rickety bus that took us to girls camp, so Pam invited me to sit on her lap and whole bumping trip! She was giving and sharing and had the best laugh. We reunited as adults and she still had that wonderful giggle. It was my honor to speak to her just a few days before her passing, still sweet and concerned about all those around her. May we all be more like Pam!

My favorite thing about Pam was her happy laugh. She was so full of love. May all feel her love strongly from the other side too. (((Hugs)))
