Our beloved husband, father, brother, uncle and friend Ruben Anthony Vigil 60, passed away September 21, 2022 due to Gastric cancer. Ruben was born May 22, 1962 in Oceanside, Ca to Albert and Bernice Vigil.
Ruben married Darlene Pacheco on April 12, 1992 they later divorced. On September 16, 2022 Ruben married the love of his life Melissa Romero. Ruben enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, always making jokes to bring a smile to everyone’s face, watching the Los Angeles Chargers and sharing memories with anyone who would listen.
Ruben is survived by his wife Melissa Romero-Vigil, his children Bernice, Ruben Jr (Enisha), MaKenzie, Aubrey, David (Brittina), Danny, Jorge, Rosie, Isaac (Tee Toese) his nephew Virgil (Kowdy) siblings Arthur (Barbie), Alberta (Tony), Ron 41 grandkids and 3 great grandkids, numerous nieces and nephews. Ruben is proceeded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, his in-laws and grandson Jalero.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 2840 S 9000 W, Magna, UT 84044.

Ruben, What can I say to make the pain go away from Melissa, and the girls? I am truly a fan of yours... I have known her since she was a baby, and when she met you and spent the last 4 years with you was the happiest time of her life. When I met you it did my heart good and to find out you were a Chargers fan, wow that did it and you turned into my Chargers buddy, I loved that. Reuben is no longer struggling and he is free from all the horrible pain now..
Although I never met Reuben in person, I do know his beautiful wife, Melissa who talked about him with so much love for him, I feel as though I had know him forever..
Melissa, I know that you loved each other so very much, and looked forward to spending so many more years together.. he will always be with you and continue watching over you.. he couldn't have had a more loving, caring, best friend, sole mate and wife by his side..

My condolences to everyone in the family… I have so many good memories of Unk Ruben and my dad, seeing them together I knew I could get away with whatever that day… He was the koo unk that anyone could connect with and talk about anything and not one word would get repeated… seeing this today, makes me think about life even more than ever, I regret not visiting him more— the “Vigilizer”
