Our sweet loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend and wife, Faye Davis DeLaney, 81, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on December 4, 2020. She was born in Goshen, Utah on September 27, 1939. She met and married her eternal husband, Roger A. DeLaney, Sr. in La Sal, Utah on September 10, 1960. It was there that they started raising their family having their first children before moving to Grantsville in 1967. There they added 3 more kids. On September 10, 1982 their marriage was solemnized in the Jordan River Temple. She was a lady with many talents. She enjoyed raising her 7 kids. She was a fantastic cook. Not a lot of mothers could bake cinnamon rolls and change a starter on a vehicle all on the same day. She enjoyed her time working at Williams Coal and Lumber , Morton Salt and Wal-Mart, retiring to enjoy spending time with her grandkids. Later, volunteering at the elementary school in Grantsville where she became known as Granny Faye. She spent her last years supporting her grandkids in all of their adventures. If you ever needed to find her, she was sitting in her chair knitting something, whether it be sweaters or blankets for family and friends. She also made beanie hats for the babies in the NICU. She will be missed for her sweet personality and beautiful smile.
She is survived by Roger Jr. (Shelli) of Fruita, Colorado, Robert (Jennifer) of Grantsville, Bryan (Dani) of Grantsville, Sam of Grantsville and David (Katie) of Holladay, Utah. She is survived by 26 grandkids and 30 great grandkids. She is also survived by two sisters, Joan Black and Betty Coombs, along with many nieces, nephews and friends. A true special friend, Sue Brown.
She was preceded in death by her husband Roger, sons Lynn and Rodney, grandson Tyler. She was also preceded in death by her brothers Stirling, LaVar and ElRay, as well as her sisters Sis. Norma along with two infant sisters, along with her parents, Ted and Evdora Davis.
We would like to thank Dr. Forbes along with all the hospice aides and nurses, Rachel, Jordan and Lori, for their compassion and love they showed our mother.

I remember the DeLaney family when you first moved to Grantsville. Roger and Faye were my dads customers at his service station. Faye was such a loving mother and always had a big smile on her face. She was always so proud of her family. Your mother touched so many for good. We send our love to each of you at this time of sorrow and celebration.
