It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the Child family announces the passing of Kent Elman “Aardvark” Child in a tragic accident on Saturday, June 26, 2021, at the age of 64 years. Kent was born on November 12, 1956 to Clyde Rawson and Carma Joyce Jackson Child in Murray, Utah. He married the love of his life, Shauna Lynn Crawley on October 15, 1977. Together they had five children (Angie, Audrey, Justin, Jessica, and Tawnie) and seven grandchildren (Dalaney, Brian, Lindsay, Chloe, Coehn, Sadie, and Olivia). Kent is proceeded in death by his parents. A graveside service will be held at the Vernon Cemetery on Friday, July 2 at 10:00 a.m. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Didericksen Memorial.

Kent was as good as they make them. He was part of the best water master team Vernon has ever had. And in dry country like ours, the water master usually has enemies. Not Kent!!! Everyone loves and appreciates him and Shauna for their hard work keeping the hayfields green and the gardens productive. Kent I will truly miss ya amigo.
