Life & Legacy
There was a beautiful reunion in heaven on Jan. 1, 2018 as Dad left us here and joined his sweetheart on the other side of the veil.

Born Feb. 21, 1939 in Plattsburg, New York, to Wilson Ernest Dukes Sr. and Lilyan Mae Bates, Dad traveled with his family where the Army sent his father.  He graduated high school in Springfield, Mass.

Dad joined the Army and was sent to Karlsruhe, Germany where he met his sweetheart and future eternal companion, Hildegard Kaethe Sieck.  They were married Dec. 22, 1961.  Later solemnized in the LDS Salt Lake Temple.

Dad will be remembered for his kindness, honesty, his love for his family and many more things.  People loved him!

He is survived by his daughter , Christine Geertgens (late husband Allen) and his son, Thomas (Janet Hill Dukes).  He will be greatly missed.  We look forward to the day we are all together again.

There will be a viewing at the Tooele 17th Ward on Monday, January 8th at 11:00 am, at 132 N 520 East, Tooele, UT. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 pm. The burial will take place at the Tooele Cemetery following the funeral services. Services entrusted with Didericksen Memorial, 435-277-0050.

My dearest Dad, I miss you very much. You were the best Dad a girl could ask for. I look forward to the time we are together as a family again.
