Donna Rae Cleveland Johnson passed away December 16, 2023. She was born August 6, 1958, in Encino, CA to Donald Ray Cleveland and Shirley Johnson Cleveland. Growing up, Donna lived in several places including Albuquerque, NM, and Daly City, CA, eventually ending up in Tooele, Utah. Donna attended Tooele High School, West High School and graduated from Kearns High School in 1977. She received her Bachelors Degree from Dixie State College and Masters Degree in education from Western Governors University. Donna married Randy Wayne Johnson December 16, 1988, in the Salt Lake Temple. Donna loved to teach and help people believe in themselves. She taught elementary school in Beaver Dam, AZ, Granite School District and then worked as a regular substitute teacher for Tooele County School District. Donna also worked for Americorp. She found it very rewarding to work with special needs people, several of whom she taught to read and write. She was a special person to a lot of special people. In her free time, she enjoyed drawing and painting. Donna had a special bond and was very proud of her niece Sage, tutoring her from a young age. Sage is now attending college and pursuing an engineering degree. Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Donald Ray Cleveland and Shirley Johnson Cleveland; husband Randy Wayne Johnson and brother Donald Cleveland (Jr). She is survived by Jeanine (James) Park; Joanne Cleveland; Jim (Eileen) Cleveland; Allie (Kim) Deuel; Father and Mother in-law Wayne and Pat Johnson; Mark (Joan) Johnson; Vicki (Terry) Riedel; Karen (Jerry) Richards; Donald Johnson as well as several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 11:00 Thursday, December 28, 2023 at Didericksen Memorial Funeral Home, 87 West Main St., Grantsville, UT 84029. Interment will be at 1:00 at Memorial Mountain View Cemetery, 3115 East Bengal Boulevard (7800 South) Cottonwood Heights, Utah 84121.
