After retirement, Carma became involved in the daughters of the Utah Pioneers and the Grantsville Senior Center. She loved to do genealogy and always kept it current for her family. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where she had many callings. Carma served a mission at the Family History Center in Salt Lake City. She loved to cook for everyone, she loved to bottle all the produce from her garden, she had such a green thumb, She loved to read, she always had a book with her everywhere she went. She rarely missed a pinochle game at the senior center with her friends.

Carma & I have been best friends since we met when we were 16 & 15. We worked together nearly all of our 32 years at Tooele Army Depot and even retired on the same day! We’ve gone on vacation together. She has been my confidante and my psychiatrist throughout all our friendship. I love her dearly and will miss her greatly ! Betty (Rainey) Chamberlain
