Kenneth Ferren “Bebop” Roberston (69) died tragically on May 14, 2024, looking forward to spending Mother’s Day weekend in Las Vegas with family.

Robertson was born October 7, 1954 in Heber, Utah. He grew up in Wendover, Utah developing a love for the outdoors. He was happiest hunting, fishing, and watching rodeo. His heaven on this earth was in the Grouse Creek mountains where he spent many a happy autumn with his favorite people chasing coyotes, tracking buck, and telling lies.

Kenny Robertson was The Boss all of his life. In high school, he led Wendover High to the Utah state championship in basketball. After high school he joined the army and was an MP while serving in Germany. After decades working and managing with US Mag, he managed all of Utah Recreation’s campgrounds in the Salt Lake area as a second career where he displayed his gift for leading and mentoring employees to be independent and becoming their best selves.

Kenny is survived by his loving wife Deborah Forbush Robertson and children, daughter Tina Robertson, son Daniel Robertson, daughter Melanie Holmes (Brandon), and daughter Torry Forbush Fowler (Kyle), and 16 grandchildren and many, many great-grandchildren. His surviving siblings are Lonna Anderson, Bonnie Murphy (Brad), Larry Robertson, Scott “Poncho” Robertson (Loretta), and surrogate siblings the Silva brothers.

Mr. Robertson was preceded in death by first wife Kellie Robertson, daughter Dusty Robertson-Olsen, parents Ferron Robertson and Betty Deon Carpenter, stepfather Wayne Watkins, and sister Daphyne Workman.

Ken was a formidable advocate and trusted advisor to his friends and children, but he loved nothing more than teasing his grandchildren, befriending strangers, and winning the occasional debate against his sister-in-law.

Kenny will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Now, he can spend his time giving Heaven some Hell.

A Memorial Service will be held at Deseret Peak Complex (2930 UT-112, Grantsville) at 11:00 am on June 1st, 2024. Burial will take place at the Tooele City Cemetery followed by a luncheon back at the Deseret Peak Complex.
