It is with deep sadness to announce the passing of David Ronald (Ron) Gladden on January 8, 2022. David Ronald was born to David Wheeler and Norma DeLee (Vance) Gladden on November 11, 1946 in Fruita, Colorado. He grew up in Grantsville, UT. After he graduated from Grantsville High School, he went on to serve a temple building mission in Blackfoot, ID where he met his wife and mother of his children, Judy Lynn Hensen. They later parted ways but remained friends until her passing.
Ron was a free spirited, fun loving, sassy individual. If at any time you had the pleasure to know him, you know how he could immediately get you to laugh. In any situation, whether in a grocery store, just in casual conversation, or even a doctor’s office, Ron was full of sass, would find a way to joke around and make those around him laugh. It wasn’t very often you could carry a conversation with Ron without having a chuckle or two. He always loved spending time with his family. In any conversation he could find a way to talk about his kids or grandkids and their many successes. He was always proud of each and every one of them.
Ron is preceded in death by his parents David Wheeler and Norma DeLee Gladden, stepmLevonna Gladden, brothers Richard, Rex and Ross Gladden, sister Sherry Lynn Gladden McCroskey. He is survived, and missed dearly by his children Ronald (Amanda) Gladden, Rusty (Casey) Gladden, Charles (Annisa) Gladden, Tamara Beck, Colin (Colleen) Baker; brother Randy (Marcie) Gladden, sister Rhona Gladden; Sixteen grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, friends and other loved ones.
The Gladden family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Niel Proctor for all of the years you have spent with dad and putting up with his crazy shenanigans. You made a huge impact on him and he loved you like a son. We will be forever grateful that he had you in his life these past years.
A huge and sincere thank you to Ron’s nephew Steven McCroskey. Thank you for always being by his side through every difficult time, the jokes, orneriness, and laughter. Even though he kept you on your toes and it wasn’t always easy, you never complained. He held you very close to his heart. Thank you, Steven. We are forever indebted to you.
Graveside services will be held January 18, 2022 at 1:00 pm at the Grantsville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, there is a link for donations to the funeral services.

Ron was great guy , when I was a kid he\'d get frustrated at me and threatened to boot me across the yard , but before we would part ways he always made sure that we both had a smile on are faces and a solid hand shake . I could go on and on with stories about Ron , but I\'ll end this with . He truly was one of the people that helped me be a better person and he will forever be missed.
