(Judge) Mary Saxon Peterson passed on 12/08/2024 due to natural causes. Mary, born February 26th, 1934 was 90 years old and married to Doug Peterson. She was preceded in death by parents Fred R Collins & Neven Mock Collins, brother Jack Collins, & sister Carolyn McMillen. Mary is survived by husband Doug Peterson, sister Pat Kufaul, daughters Robin Hammond, Debbie Vigil, son Ronald Saxon, stepchildren Tracy Peterson, Leslie Larson & Larry Peterson along with several beloved grandchildren. Services will be held at Didericksen Memorial in Grantsville, at 12:00 PM, on December 13, 2024.

Mary will never be forgotten, she was an amazing person, we loved when she would come to La Fountain, she always had a smile on her face, she will be missed dearly.

I’ve known Mary since I was a young teenager. Back then—and even later on—we were all a little scared of her because she was a judge. She had this stern, no-nonsense demeanor that kept us in line, but she was always good to me. Even when I wasn’t at my best, she treated me with kindness and decency. I’ll never forget how she took me in when I didn’t have a place to go.
Mary and her husband, Doug, are two of the most incredible people I’ve ever known. She came from a generation of class and sophistication that’s hard to find these days.
She will be deeply missed.

I remember when Uncle Doug And Mary got married in the hospital when Uncle Doug was not doing so well then our families went to dinner I wish I could be there but with me being in the rehab center there is no way I could find away So my heart goes out to your family and you are aways in my heart
