Life & Legacy
Arthur Myron Long returned to His Heavenly Father on January 26, 2018. Son of Ruth Olive Kemp Long, brother to Pauline, Boyd, Bonnie, Jerry, Bruce, Barbara and Scott.
Survived by daughters Kimberly, Anastasia (Trottier), and Aurora (Bolinder), Stepson John Stark.  Sons Brad Bolinder and Robert Trottier.
He will be missed by his Grandsons Devan, Alexander, and Noah but greeted with joy by Owen.
Grieved by his wife of 40 years Jannette.
Art is a 23 year military veteran. Served in the Old Guard at Arlington National Cemetery honoring the deaths of those killed in action during the Vietnam war. He served in the 151st Utah Air National Guard Fire Department and was deployed to the Gulf War in Saudi Arabia.
He is a proud firefighter with Salt Lake County Fire retiring as an engineer, also serving with Grantsville Fire Department as a Lieutenant.
His doggie buddy Mr.Timothy feels his loss and continues to look for him but we know where and with whom he's with. We will meet at the veil.
Open house held at Stockton LDS Church January 31st from 4-7. A celebration of life Dutch oven will be announced at a later date.

Only found out about Art's passing via the dodfire dot com site. I worked with him in Saudi Arabia back in 1992. I do have a few photos of him from that short tour. Very sorry for his loved ones loss of a good guy.

Lots of good times were had...especially during Art's high school years. He spent a lot of time at our house.ICondolences to your family.We will not be able to attend tomorrow, but will be thinking of shared times and your great loss.

I am so sorry to hear of Art's passing. I will always remember his sense of humor and the fun times we shared at family reunions. I wish I could attend tomorrow. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this difficult time.

Janette, I'm so sorry to here this. Wish I could come down tomorrow but let me know when the other celebration is. I would love to come then. I really loved Art. He is probably talking with Dad and Mom right now.

As a fellow firefighter/paramedic I always enjoyed sitting down with Art and sharing his experiences at the Salt Lake City Fire Department with my experiences at the fire department in Bend, Oregon. One of my best last experiences I had with Art is when he and his family took me to the end of the road up South Willow Canyon in September. It was so peaceful and beautiful there.
