Life & Legacy
Mary Alice “Tally” Durfee Alldredge returned to her Father in Heaven after a long, valiant 28-year battle with cancer and the side effects of cancer treatments.

Mary Alice was born July 13, 1948 to Marion Clark and Mary Alice Cook Durfee in Tooele, UT. She was an unwavering faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She held many callings including positions in the Primary, Young Women’s, and Relief Society. She served as a librarian at the Grantsville Elementary, Jr. High, and High schools. She was a friend and mentor to many students and connected especially to those that required the most patience.

She married Leslie Gene “Les” Alldredge July 3, 1968. They later divorced. They had four children, Carrie (Jim) Morison, Cindy (Chad) King, Jeff (Larriann) Alldredge, and Patrick (Lindsay) Alldredge.

She is survived by all her children, her brother-in-law Llewelyn Wilder, brothers, Robert “Bob” (Joan) Durfee, Charles Glen “Butch” (Tommie Sue) Durfee, and Kenneth J. “Kenny” (Connie) Durfee. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Alaina (Sheldon) Chalk, Allie Alldredge, Oliver Alldredge, her great grandchildren, Capri, Cai, and Cohv Chalk and many nieces and nephews. Her family was the most important part of her life. She was preceded in death by her parents, and siblings, Lois Wilder, Vendla “Bunny” (Don) Bennett, and Don Lee Durfee.

Her family would like to express our sincere appreciation to Dr. Carolyn Forbes and Cameron Dortch, NP at Valley Family Medicine for their diligent and loving care through the past years. Thank you also to Tooele City Police and Mountain West Medical Center EMS Services for their prompt response and service. We appreciate all doctors, nurses, and staff from MWMC, IMC, and all other facilities that offered Mary Alice excellent care.

Mary Alice 💕 She was especially kind to me. Life works in ways that we never quite understand. I was thinking of her today. There was never any way for me to tell Patrick how sorry I was his mom passed, but maybe someday he’ll see this. Much love.
