Our dearest wife, mother, and grandma left this earthly existence to return to our Heavenly Father's presence on March 8, 2018. She will be dearly missed. Madge was a wonderful example of enduring to the end with a Christlike attitude. She was first and foremost a wonderful mother. She dearly loved her children and grandchildren. Madge is extremely creative. She had so many talents. She could sew anything so beautifully. She loved to knit and crochet. She made intricate, amazing sweaters and beautiful blankets. Madge made cards and beautiful drawings. She made her own soap and was very frugal. She loved to garden and preserve her hard work. She was an amazing example of self reliance.
Madge faithfully served in many LDS callings and was always willing to serve others. She loved to read and write letters. She faithfully read the Ensign and Friend cover to cover every month. Madge was faithful in all things. Through all her trials and blessings in this earthly life, Madge always lived and vocalized her love for our Savior and the gospel. "The gospel is true. I will never deny that!" was the sentence she used the most in her life. Madge loves her Savior and knows Him. She joined her son, George, who preceded her in death to our Heavenly home. I'm sure that was the longest hug in history.
Madge is survived by her husband, Allan. On March 9th, they celebrated 56 years of marriage. Also survived by 5 children: Kathleen (Mark), AJ, Allison, Andrea (Mark), and Edwin (Elizabeth). Madge has 12 wonderful grandkids. We love and miss you. We will see you again in the eternities.
A graveside service will be held at the Grantsville City Cemetery on Tuesday, March 13th at 11:00 a.m.
