Raida Bell Walter (Radar, Ringa) was born December 11, 1940 in Tooele, Utah to Edward Ross Bell and Irene Hammond Bell.
Raida grew up in Tooele and graduated from Tooele High School in 1959, “Forever And Forever In Tooele!”
She had an amazing childhood because everybody in the old 7th ward were friends and spent all of their free time playing sports together. She never lost her love of sports; as an adult she coached softball, tennis, and bowling for many years. Coaching brought her a lot of joy and satisfaction over the years.
Raida met the love of her life, Carl Walter while cruisingmain street in 1960. They were married July 13, 1961 and just celebrated their 59th anniversary together. Their marriage was solemnized and they were sealed as a family in October of 1985.
She was a member of The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints and served faithfully in many callings, her favorite being in the Young Women.
Raida is survived by her devoted and loving husband, Carl;son James (Tawna) of Tooele; daughter Beverly (Cory) Dobson of Tooele; Clifton (Annie) of Avondale, Colorado; brother Jack (Betty) Bell of St. George, Utah. Her greatest happiness was being an extraordinary Grandma to her 8 grandkids and 6 great grandchildren.
Mom’s favorite thing to do was bowling. She enjoyed every minute at the bowling alley and made lifetime friends there. She had a special place in her heart for the bowling ladies, many of whom she played bunco with. She loved her friends like sisters; thank you for giving her such wonderful memories!
Mom, you had such a big impact on all of us and we will always cherish the times we had with you!
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. at the Tooele City Cemetery.

I worked as a secretary for the Sheriff's Office and Raida worked as a secretary to the County Attorney, and that is where I first got to know her. She was a lot of fun and had a great personality. As we talked, I found we had another connection. We had both grown up on West Vine Street. She was the age of my oldest brother, Roger, so I didn't know her growing up. I used to sit in front of Raida and her daughter and son-in-law, Bev & Cory Dobson at THS football games, and then we ended up in the same LDS ward. I loved her and enjoyed her fun personality. I will miss her.
