Tooele, UT- Connie Russom Chidester Book, 59 passed away Tuesday August 14, 2018 following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born December 31, 1958 in Murray UT to George Russom Sr. and Donna Krajnc Russom. She was married to Fredrick Chidester Sr. in 1973 and, together had 4 children, Kim (Dan), Jeramie (Tiffany), Rick (Sierra) and Jeff. She later married Steve Book and they have been married for 21 years. Connie was blessed with 10 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and looking forward to 2 more. Also surviving are her brother George Jr. (Marie) Russom and her best friend and sister, Patricia Alder, along with her Mother Donna and many nieces and newphews.
Connie’s greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren. She wore her heart on her sleeve and wasn’t afraid to show it. Connie also loved fishing and camping. She was musically and artistically inclined and could pick up an instrument and play by sound alone. She was a “take the bull by the horns kind of gal” and was never afraid to say what was on her mind. Her favorite saying was “dynamite comes in small packages”.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, August 17th at the Tooele City Cemetery.

I express sorrow for the family and friends that has lost such a great woman here on this earthly plane, however many times Connie and I have sat talking about this journey that one day we all will have to make not in sadness but in happiness and anxious anticipation. Connie is a woman who endured so much pain all the while kept a smile on her face that lit up the room and warmed everyone who she came in contact with. I am blessed to have crossed paths and shared a friendship with Connie as I know one day we will meet again.

Mom- even though I knew that your passing was close, it's still so painful. My heart is heavy, but I know that now you are in a better place and no longer suffering physically or emotionally. No more crying. I never thought I'd say this, but I'm going to miss your feisty, hard-headed, do it my way, tell it like it is personality. I can honestly say there has never been a dull moment with you. I'm very thankful for these few precious months I've had with you. I take comfort knowing you are still with me and your "grandbabies". I love you so much and will miss you terribly. Rest in Peace, my beautiful Mom. Love, Kimbie

Connie, I never got the chance to tell you goodbye. I want you to know that you have truly been the sister that God never gave me and that I treasure your friendship, love and support during good times and bad. I remember our years in Idaho with fondness. I've never had a friend as special as you. Sleep peacefully, sweet lady, I love you.
